Bye!

So that’s it, I’m coming home! I’m sat on the floor in Beijing International Airport – there are barely any chairs here, I don’t know why – having one final look around me at China.

It’s feels as though it’s gone so quickly, although halfway through my Mandarin course I felt like I wouldn’t be leaving China for years. Not in the good way, either. But overall I’m so glad I came, China is a fascinating, complicated place so different from home and I’ve learnt so much in a very short space of time. Although I don’t really harbour any secret desire to run away and live in China or anything like that, it’s very clear to me that in the future China will play an important role in all of our lives. So, I’m grateful of the chance to understand the nation and its culture in a way that most people will never get. And of course, I’ve picked up loads of useful tips for our clients at Innovate Product Design!

On the whole, I’m sad to be leaving but happy to be coming home. See you in England!
